How to Give Richly and Keep Your Budget In Track
At the end of the year we have the traditions of giving gift. Here are 3 ways to smart gifting that give back from Personal Money #76.
1) Plan wisely
Make a list of your gift's recipients. You might want to consider giving to people who provided good service to you the entire year. Make a rough estimate of the total spent each year and decide if you want to spend less, the same or more. Second, set a ceiling budget for each person, including gift-wrapping or postal charges. For more saving, look out for periodical sales.
2) Keep to your budget
What do you do when you are given gift, but have nothing to give in return? Never rush to buy someone a gift in return, as the giver will know you never meant to give it in the first place. Instead, write a thank you note a day after. This will be more sincere. If your recipient gives you an expensive gift? Stick to what you can afford.
3) Keep credit in check
Avoid using your credit card unless you know you will be able to pay the bill in full. Credit cards are convenience tools only and cannot be treated as cash in hand.

Top 5 Survival Plan to Handle Divorce
Everyone who decided to be married has no intention to divorce later. Everyone is looking for a "live happily ever after" marriage. But when a couple cannot get along anymore, divorce is the final answer. Separation left both emotionally broken but when this hard decision has to make, do not let this bitter situation broke your financial too.
How to survive and protect your security financial for later?
Survival Plan 1 - Reduce unneccessary expenses
Meet with your spouse and agree to cancel utilities and other bills. Sell off your personal property that you do not need or want anymore to save money.
Survival Plan 2 - Cancel all of your jointly owned credit cards.
You need to cancel the cards because the spouse can charge up all kinds of different charge on the cards and you will get stuck paying them back. Canceling the cards now can save you money that you will need to have later on.Survival Plan 3 - Separate the jointly owned bank accounts
If you have bank accounts together, you may want to divide the money first. If not, your spouse may decide to go and take care of the money on their own and leave you with nothing. If you have outstanding bills for the home, explain this to the spouse so that the arrangements can be made to pay for them.
Survival plan 4 - Stop contributing to combined accounts like 401K and pension plans.
Telling your place of employment whom usually does this. Make the necessary arrangements so that your money is not being added to this account.
Survival plan 5 - Keep your job or try and find one
You have to make sure that you are protecting yourself and able to raise your family. If you are not getting any money from your spouse, you will have to do something to support your monthly needs. You may want to ask your 'soon to be ex' if they can help you financially until the divorce proceedings are over. This is only recommended if you are ending the divorce in a good way. If you are fighting over everything and not getting along, you need to contact your attorney and have them ask for you.

Top 3 Tips - How To Avoid Mystery Shopping Scam
If you like shopping, browsing through stores, dining at new restaurants or trying out new services - you will love mystery shopping. This is a great way to make some extra money.
Businesses this days need to know what average consumers think about their products and services. And they need to know what’s going on when management isn’t looking over their employee’s shoulders. They accomplish this by bringing in mystery shoppers.
As a mystery shopper, you will visit stores and pretend to be an ordinary customer. You task is to secretly evaluate customer service, store cleanliness and product quality. When done, you are to fill in a small questionnaire describing your shopping experience. You then submit your report and get paid for your opinions. However, the most difficult parts of mystery shopping is staying away from mystery shopping scams. How to find legitimate mystery shopping companies to work for?
Trick No.1 - Getting paid before even performing the actual mystery shopping assignment
Remember, a legitimate mystery shopping company will never send you a check before your shopping is completed. You shop with your own money, after reporting your shop, you get reimbursed for what you spend, and then will be paid your reward.
Trick No.2 - Charging a fee for registration
A real and legitimate mystery shopping company never charges you a fee for registration, not even a cent. If you are asking a so called one-time-registration-fee from a company or website claiming to be a real mystery shopping company in order to assign you mystery shopping jobs, (probably with 30-days money back guarantee), turn around and never look back.
Trick No.3 - If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
In most cases if it sounds too good to be true it probably is! Let's say, a company promising you that you get to keep things like a diamond ring for a 20 minuet shopping assignment, don't you think that's a bit too much? Mystery shopping agencies do what they do to make money. Logically, they are not making any money if they were to give out such big payouts. So, stay away from companies with such promises.

Money Money Money - ABBA
I work all night, I work all day, to pay the bills I have to pay
Ain't it sad
And still there never seems to be a single penny left for me
That's too bad
In my dreams I have a plan
If I got me a wealthy man
I wouldn't have to work at all, I'd fool around and have a ball
Money, money, money
Must be funny
In the rich man's world
Money, money, money
Always sunny
In the rich man's world
Aha-ahaa
All the things I could do
If I had a little money
It's a rich man's world
It's a rich man's world
A man like that is hard to find but I can't get him off my mind
Ain't it sad
And if he happens to be free I bet he wouldn't fancy me
That's too bad
So I must leave, I'll have to go
To Las Vegas or Monaco
And win a fortune in a game, my life will never be the same
Money, money, money
Must be funny
In the rich man's world
Money, money, money
Always sunny
In the rich man's world
Aha-ahaa
All the things I could do
If I had a little money
It's a rich man's world
Money, money, money
Must be funny
In the rich man's world
Money, money, money
Always sunny
In the rich man's world

If I had a little money

How to Cut Your Grocery Store Costs
Here are 14 ways to buy what you need while spending less. Highlighted from Nancy Dunnan's book Recession Proof Your Financial Life.
Before Leaving Home
Before Leaving Home
1. MAKE A LIST. Jot down what you really needs helps you reduce expensive impulse purchases. Check your list again against your inventory, so there is nothing miss out.
2. HAVE A MEAL OR AT LEAST A SNACK. If you are hungry, you are automatically buy more than you need.
3. ARRANGE YOUR FAMILY TIME SO THAT YOU CAN SHOP ALONE. Or shop without the children in tow. Kids are great in talking their parents into buying something unnecessary.
4. PUT A CALCULATOR IN YOUR PURSE OR POCKET to keep running tally of the items in your cart.
On the Way to the Store
5. GET CASH. Using credit cards automatically makes it easier to spend more. Put the amount you have budgeted for groceries in an envelope or a special section of your wallet.
At the Store
6. PICK THE RIGHT STORE. Check out food warehouses as well as supermarkets.
7. STUDY THE STORE'S LAYOUT. Typically milk, ice cream and other dairy products and also meat are at the rear of the store. This is intentional because it means that you must walk by a lot of other items before you get to your destination.
8. RESIST BOTTLED WATER. Most cities and towns have decent tap water. Buy a filter, if for some reason you don't care for your local water.
9. GO FOR SOFT DRINKS IN LARGE BOTTLES because it is much cheaper.
10. SKIP THE P'S - prepared, precut, peeled. Do your own slicing and dicing. Mixed cubes of watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple and strawbery in a plastic container are priced to include the cost of labor.
11. SKIP THE G'S - grated items. Grate your own carrots, cheese and potatoes.
12. BEND YOUR KNEES. Higher-priced items tend to be at eye level. Lower-priced groceries are often on the bottom shelf.
13. WATCH THE BILL. Make sure your amount match on the scanner.
14. LOOK THE OTHER WAY AT CHECKOUT. Do you really need those magazines, recipe booklets, candy bars and gadgets?

Start Late, Finish Rich
In the opening of this book, David Bach motivate readers that whether you are in your 30s, 40s, 50s or beyond, it's never too late for every one to start and finish rich. Anyway, action on what you learn is what will change people's life, not the book.
Earlier in this book, David Bach introduce his Latte Factor concept which refering to the amount of money you are wasting on little extravagances, like a cup of coffee, and how rich you could become if, instead of wasting all dollars, you put them to more productive uses. Regardless how big or small your paycheck is, the Latte Factor can make a real difference in your life. In this book, David Bach shows how Latte Factor works and a few people share their Latte Factor success to help you understand this in a clearer picture. If you are starting late, then you are going to find your Double Latte Factor.
David Bach start with credit card debts, which many people are financially hold back. Most people find that settle their credit card debt is impossible because they focus on the debt instead of the real enemy, the interest. You will learn the secret in credit card industry and how to cut the card interest when you read further.
The art of 'paying yourself first' comes next. And there is a simple math to elaborate this topic. Then, what will you do with the money you save? Toss out the budget and make it automatic. Investment is another way to start late and finish rich, only if you make a strategic plan. Buy real estate, buy stocks, or buy bonds. Buying a home is also a good investment. You cannot get rich being a renter. The fact that buying can cost you less than renting is the reason why you have to buy a home now and it has to be your goal. In Chapter 12, you will coach on how to buy a home and pay it off early.
But we haven't complete yet. There's another secret that rich people know.

The 5 Must Know Credit Tips for Students
Building and maintaining good credit is more important today than ever. Whether we realize it or not, so many parts of our daily financial lives revolve around our credit scores. But don't fret - abide by these five must know credit tips for students and you shouldn't have any problems at all.
1. Start a Credit History
The best way to start your credit history off on the right foot is to keep it natural and realistic. Go ahead and open up savings and checking accounts - you'll need them. Next, try starting off with a student credit card. Use it only to make purchases that you'd make anyway and then pay it off in full and on time each month with the funds from your checking account. Your credit worthiness will gradually begin to grow just by conducting everyday transactions.
STUDENT PLUS Click Here! to check it out.
2. Stick to One Credit Card
If you're using your credit card only to make planned purchases and paying it off each month, chances are, having one credit card is all you'll ever need. Sure, the limits start off fairly low, but they will rise as you make purchases and pay the bills on time. Know that having more than one credit card as a college student statistically has a history of leading to credit troubles.
3. Live On a Budget
This is probably one of the most important credit tips for students there is. Write down all of your monthly expenses at the beginning of every month in the order of what you'll need to pay first. Use your income to pay the items according to priority and be sure not to spend any money at all outside of these categories until all expenses are paid first. Actually writing everything down helps reinforce your understanding of your own individual financial picture and does help prevent unnecessary impulse buys that often snowball and cause credit problems later.
4. Financial Responsibility Counts
Yes, you have to make that credit card payment on time! Paying bills isn't quite as fun as spending money in the first place, but your credit will be badly damaged for many years to come if bills are paid late or not at all. It's always better to pay a week early than one second late. Just as important as paying the credit card bill on time is keeping well within the confines of your credit card's limit.
5. Check Your Credit Reports Often
Just because you're a student and probably only have just begun your credit history recently doesn't mean that you're not a target for identity thieves. Seeing your financial picture from all perspectives is essential to building a lifetime of good credit. Everyone is eligible to check copies of their credit report for free each year. Try checking one of the major three credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, and Trans Union) once every four months to make sure there's no funny business happening at your expense.
Damaged credit will severely hinder everything from the purchase of a home later on in life to the amount you'll pay for car insurance.

How Can Water Treatment Equipment Save You Money and Keep You Healthy
Three-fourths of the world we live in is made up of water, it is only understandable that proper precautions must be taken to assure the continued availability of our vastest and most precious natural resource. In this regard, many companies are now in the business of selling water treatment equipment designed to purify water and make it safe to use in any whole house water treatment.
When the word "equipment" comes up, most people immediately associate it with cost and instantly think it must be expensive. Water treatment equipment is no exception. Many companies acknowledge the fact that equipment for the treatment of water can indeed be a little over what many consider reasonably priced. However, this doesn't mean outright that a whole house water treatment is nothing but a scam to make opportunists filthy rich. The truth of the matter is that water treatment equipment can actually help you save more money than you think, especially in the long run. More importantly, it can keep you healthy and greatly improve your quality of life.
With a whole house water treatment, you can make sure that the water that runs through your entire house is clean. This is because the water treatment equipment you use has the ability to conduct a purification process that transforms dirty water into clean water. More than clean, your water actually becomes highly potable. In this case, you don't have to buy bottled water for drinking purposes. With a water filter or water softener, whichever you choose, you can drink your water straight up without having to worry about having an upset stomach afterwards because the whole house water treatment of your choice takes care of all the bacteria, viruses, fungi, algae, chemicals, and other contaminants that are harmful to your health. You can use the money - think hundreds of dollars in a year - meant to buy bottled water for other more practical and necessary expenses.
